NSTA

At the North Sea Transition Authority we work on some of the most crucial and high profile issues affecting the country now and for generations to come.

Not only are we strengthening energy security through new and existing oil and gas fields, but we are doing so in a way that will play a vital part of helping the country meet net zero. We do this through carbon capture, lowering emissions from oil production and ensuring fields meet strict environmental criteria.

 Careers

We aim to create a diverse team of talented, committed individuals, and be a great place to work, where employees are supported to develop their capability, in a dynamic busy organisation whilst promoting a positive work life balance.

Whether you already work in the oil in gas industry, or are interested in becoming part of it; whether you are a lawyer, policy maker, geologist or corporate services professional, there could be a role for you here.

Meet some of our colleagues

Just a few of the wonderful people who work together with NSTA to make the world a better place.

Jenni Whitfield

Senior Facilities Engineer

"Advice I'd give anyone looking to join NSTA is it’s a great opportunity to use your existing skills and experience to make a real difference and get some real variety in your days. Be prepared to work collaboratively, share your knowledge and learn from others. In exchange you get a great work/life balance supported by flexible working."

Megan Larrinaga

Legal Advisor

"The very best thing about working here is the people. There are some incredibly intelligent and talented people who are great at what they do and great to work with. There is the potential for varied, interesting and high-profile work and the organisation is really supportive about developing its people. Even if that means they are developed to move on. That is unique. Probably most importantly for me is the flexible working, special leave provisions."
